Funny. I don't know if it's just one of those selective observation deals or what, but I feel like I see Priuses everywhere now. Helina was just telling me about the Slate article this evening on our way home, so I'm glad to see it here, too. It's hard -- I think we should be careful not to turn our kids into jerks, but still remind them that the earth needs some TLC. But what disturbed me was the "I drive a Prius because of the statement it makes about me" part. Ick.
Well...I think with kids, they sometimes don't know how to NOT be jerks. Y'know? They'll grow out of it, hopefully.
And yeah, that's a lame reason to buy a Prius. I didn't realize they discontinued the Insight, which is totally lame...that thing gets way better mileage than the Prius.
